My creation is inspired by the book “The Pokey Little Puppy” I decided to use the Hambo Stamps digi image called Bailey for my card, then I added a few spots to him. I loved that book when I was a kid and enjoy reading to my nephews now. I hope you enjoy my card!

Hi,

I hope everyone is off to a good start for 2012. I've been off all week since I had my 2nd eye surgery last Thursday. The eye is doing great, just praying that the retina holds this time.

So, while being off I had a few times to stamp and wanted to share a couple of cards that I made. On new years day Sweet and Sassy released this fun cat celebrate image as a freebie so I snagged him and had fun creating a few cards with him.

He was so easy to color and there are so many options for colors. It was also good to use some of the scraps I'd been accumulating. I also had fun playing with some new twine I just got also with the scallop die from Sweet and Sassy I had gotten earlier in the week.

Sorry I've been MIA , but I am back with my card for the 2 week Hambo Hoedown. Then we were to use something new, well I had just got a bunch of new cardstock and also used my fun new die I bought from Papers and Such, it was a Memory Box die.

Hambo Hoedown- Happy Thanksgiving

Hi,

We'll I am coming into the challenge with a 1/2 hr to spare...what a week!! My dad had a knee replacement and has been home for a week, but he is very limited on what he can do. My mom's health is not the best either and she has a lot of trouble walking at times and doing things. So my hubby and I have been helping them on a daily bases doing household things, erans and other chores for them. We've been blessed by their church that they have been bringing meals 3x's a week which is a huge blessing to us.

Anyways...it make me thankful for health and being able to give back to my parents who have always been there for me and my family!

So this week we got a fun image called Wee Henry Turkey - digi from Hambo stamps and we were to create a tag on our card. As you can see I tried to create 2 tags with the image and they saying.

So now trot on over to Hambo Hoedown and see the other fun cards :)

Hambo Hoedown- Snail Rake

Happy Monday!!

This week we were challenge to use this super cute image from Hambo Stamps called Snail Rake digi. Then we were to go to the resource center on Splitcoast and pick something out of there to try. For my card I tried the http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/crinkled/

which was an easy technique and I ended up creating a flower out my crinkled pieces. I also broke out my colored pencils for this image...it was fun to re-unite with them :)

What a crazy weekend we had in PA, yesterday we had 5" of snow...seriously on October 29th. So I got snowed in and was able to create my card for the Hambo Hoedown this week.

I couldn't use the image that they sent us this week, because silly me accidently deleted the email...not to fear...this weeks challenge was to case a card from the gallery. So I went looking for one to case, I found this great penguin balloon card and knew I had this image already.

I didn't have exactly everything that was needed for the card, so this is my case of the card using the Penguin Balloon image by Hambo stamps.

Well today is the last Monday of September and my last post with the Paper Cupcakes design team. I had sooo much fun being a guest designer for them!!

This weeks challenge is to use diecuts and punches, so off I went to create a card using those things. I knotched my card with the corner ticket punch from SU and the Top knotch die cut from SU. I also used some cut out snowflakes. The image I used was You Melt My Heart.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, it went way to fast!! This week from Hambo stamps we got the House2 digi. Our challenge was to use a household item on the card. Boy was I stumped!!! I looked around and thought of several things, like cardboard, newspaper, duct tape...but couldn't get it to work....SO I went with a post-it-note and a paper clip. I love how the card came out. We also have a friend who just bought a house so I think this will be going to her.

Hi,

Today is Labor Day so I thought I'd get caught up on a few things. 1st was some of my cards...it's been hard to craft this weekend since I fell on Sunday and hurt my hand, but I muddled thru it. Typing isn't very fun either...oh well, it will get better.

Here is my card for the Hambo Hoedown.

We were send this fun Allien digi image from Hambo stamps and the challenge was to create something dimensional. I poped the allien and the saying up on some foam tape. I also put some glossy accents over the capsel part to give it a different look too.

Hambo Hoedown- back to school

Hi,

Wow, what a few days it's been. We got thru hurricane Irene pretty good, we just lost power for about 8 hrs on Sunday. Luckly we were able to pack the fridge stuff up and head to my parents.

Well, this weeks Hambo Hoedown was to use red, blue, yellow for a back to school card. Using this fun pencil- digi's from Hambo stamps.

My nephew Toby started school last Wednesday and is a big proud 3rd grader. I can't wait to hear about what he is learning, so I made my card in honor of him and being in 3rd grade. I remember 3rd grade it was a weird year for me. I spent the 1st half going to Fayettville Christian School in Fayettville, GA then the 2nd half going to a Christian School in Turnersville, NJ. Crazy right.

Happy Wednesday,

This week for Designed2Delight was different, we were give a $2.50 credit for the store and got to shop for our own image.
This was a fun thing to get to do, I love Designed2Delight, so it was hard to pick an image, but I am always looking for manly images so I went with the sailboat.

The image was colored with ink pads and blender pens, that I colored softly then added a cute turtle charm with some twine.

Wow, this week has been super busy...the garden is really going so we've been canning tomatoes and pickles and just made fresh salsa.

Sorry to be so late in posting my Hambo Hoedown, but I made with almost an hour to go before the deadline :)

This weeks challenge was to do stitching, sewing or faux stitching...we'll I don't have a machine, so I did a little fake stitching. This weeks image was a fun one called, Rebel - digi" by Hambo Stamps .

This week for the Designed2Delight challenge we were sent this beautiful snowman. It was fun to color him, when it was 101 degrees outside. I am not ready for snowman yet, but I could take some fall leaves and cooler temps :)

Mono Mosquito

Happy Monday,
I wanted to share my card for the Hambo Hoedown this week. We were to use this fun Mono Mosquito image from Hambo Stamps to create a monochromatic card. The challenge was also to use colors we typically don't use.
Well, I thought about it for alittle bit and decided to do black, gray and white. These are definately not colors I use alot infact I had trouble find them in my cardstock. So I decided to go with some texture to set it off since I didn't have any pattered paper.
I also added some glossy accents to his wings for something different. I also dug through my stamp saying bins and found this one from Stampendous and thought it worked good with it.

I wasn't sure how to do this, but as I was triming it out I came up with this design. I used teals, greens, yellows and purples for a regal looking peacock and added a little glitter too.

Rhubarb with Sunflowers

I am back again, now I want to share with you my Rhubarb with Sunflowers card using the new Sweet 'N Sassy image. I was inspired to get him because I had just gotten these 2 beautiful sunflowers at the Flinchbaughs Orchard earlier in the day.

First I made this birthday card for my mom for her upcoming birthday on the 23rd. Then I was trying to make another card, but...

Tigger decided she wanted to check out the backyard...well, this is her favorite spot to sit. You can see I was in the middle of my card. When she left I was able to finish.

Sweet and Sassy- Meet Rhubarb

I hope you are having a great day. This weekend I was checking out Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and saw they had a new set of digi's coming out. It was a super adorable bear called Rhubarb. So I picked up the "free" one to use but didn't get my card entered in time for the challenge, then I bought Rhubarb with Sunflower and Rhubarb with bird.

This one was made with the free one and I used some MME paper, SU pink periouette and SU ribbon along with 2 charms. I made this one into a baby card for a friend.

Hambo Hoedown- Steamroller

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Today, I wanted to share the card I made for the Hambo Hoedown we got the image called Steamroller - digi from Hambo Stamps and the challenge was to make a gatefold card.

So here is my version of the gatefold....

Sorry about the out of order picts, Blogger is not letting me move them, but I think you get the idea :)

All the paper is SU and I colored the image with my copics and a silver marker for the trim. I also sponged some dirt and sky to finish it off. I added some twine and used the SU print pattern background because I thought it needed something.

Hope you like it, I think I'll be using this image and the gatefold card in my near future!!

Hi,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today, I wanted to share with you the card I made for the Hambo Hoedown using the "Cool Dog - digi" by Hambo Stamps. This weeks challenge was to use circles, we had to create a card that was circlular.

So for this I cut my circle with my nesties, colored my image with copics then added some bling to his sandles and a cute cloud. Then I spritzed the whole image with some shimmer spray.

Designed2Delight-flip flops

Hello,

For this weeks Designed2Delight we were sent this fun flip flop image to use for our card.

I decided to make a circle card with my nesties. I layer some Mellon Mambo and some Lilac paper . The image was colored with my copics. Then I added some diamond rhinestones to the flip flops for some bling. Added a little twine for some more color. Then over the whole image I sprayed some diamond sparkle mist to give it a shimmer. The picture didn't pick up on that to well.

Hambo Hoedown- "Doghouse Blues"

Hello,
Happy Saturday, today's been a pretty lazy day for me. I got do a few things around the house, plant flowers, read and found some time to stamp today.
This week Hambo Stamps sent us "Doghouse Blues - digi" to use for the Hambo Hoedown. The challenge this week was to use a dog bone....no problem for that one :)

For this card I used my copics to color the image, then used some Old Olive for the card base. The designer paper is from Basic Greys- Max and Whiskers. I then found some yellow ribbon and for the dog bone part my dp has some bones and I had this cute bone clip that I added to the ribbon.

Hambo Hoedown

It's that time again for the weekly Hambo Hoedown. This week we got a fun image to play with called "Pig Inmate - digi" from Hambo Stamps.

I was also excited because last week I was choosen as the Hoedown Queen!!! That was a first for me, it's fun to try things out.

This weeks challenge was to use twine or rope or anything but ribbon. So I pulled out some bakers twine and added that to my card.

Paper and Such challenge

Hello....

As you can see this week, I was able to get some stamping time in. I just got my order from Paper and Such this weekend so I decided to ink one of my new stamps. This is Milton with Daisy from Wild Rose Stamps.

I used a card base of barely banana and some pink pierouette. Along with designer paper from MME. I colored the image with my copics then used some sheer shimmer mist over it to give a little shine/sparkle. The saying is from the $1 bin at Michaels and to top it off a little gem flower.

I think he is super sweet and I have a feeling this stamp will be getting some more ink in the near future.

Father's Day

Well the weekend is about to happen and this weekend happens to be Father's Day. In May when I got together with some stamping friends. My friend Mary had gotten this great stamp from Stampin Up and she graciously let me stamp some images.

The beginning of June I had 2 friends over to stamp and they wanted to make some Father's Day cards so we all went for these images. I wish I would have taken pics of their cards, they were all pretty!

So here is my rendition of the sail boat card....I think I am going to order this stamp, it's a single stamp in the Stampin Up Summer Mini catalog, it's a great man's image.

My card is made out SU tempting turqouise base paper, My Minds Eye designer paper. I cut the ovals out with nesties and then used my shimmer pastels to color in the boat. To finish off the card I used some fun colored twine.

Have a great weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the men out there. Especially the men in my life...my wonderful dad, who has also been there for me!! And my hubby even tough he is not a dad in the physical...he is an awesome man of God who loves his fur-babies (cats) and an awesome uncle to 2 precious boys...Toby and Chance!!

Roses

Hi,

I hope everyone is having a great week. I wanted to share a card that I made last week using Sweet N Sassy's new Rose Blossom set. It can be bought as a digi image or a clear set. I was also really excited when featured card this at The Sweet 'n Sassy Connection. I can't wait to make some more cards with this set. I already colored a rose with some purples and also some yellow/oranges. Maybe in the next week I'll get them made into cards.

So for this card, I colored the rose with some of my pink copics and also traced the outline with my glitter pen to add some sparkle.

The pink paper is from SU, I think it is blushing bride, and the designer paper is from My Minds Eye that I got from my friend Julie's online store Papers and Such. The sentiment was unknown I got it awhile ago at an Amish (Barbara Stamping Delight) and the lace is some that I picked up on one of my trips to Creative Reuse in Lancaster City...that is a super fun store!

Today's been a busy day, but I am so happy to actually catch up on a few things tonight. We are having a yardsale Saturday so tonight I got the rest of the stuff priced and all ready to go.

This weeks Hambo Hoedown we were to use this fun digi Three Ties - digi by Hambo Stamps. We also had to incorporate a sketch that they had for us.

I decided to use the dino tie since my one nephew is into dinos it made me think of him :)

Hambo Stamps Strawberry Kid - digi

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We did, I got some baking done and my hubby had his 1st day back at our farm co-op...I can't wait till the veggies come in.

Speaking of strawberries, this weeks image was perfect!! Brad came home with 2 1/2 baskets of strawberries this week. I also got some strawberry jam made.

So...with out much more to say...here is my card for the week. This week image was made with Hambo Stamps Strawberry Kid digi image. Our challenge this week was to use the saying along with some buttons. I hope you like my card. I also put some glossy accents on the berry part to give it a shine like a real strawberry.

For this week we got this great flower image so I printed it out in 3 different sizes. I decided to go bright this week and I found this fun DP in my stash and had to go with it. I also decided to use some glossy accents on the center of the flowers to give it some pop.

Hambo Hoedown- Moonscape - digi

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, today I wanted to share the card I made for the Hambo Hoedown, we were to use this Moonscape - digi by Hambo Stamps along with texture.

I hope you like my card, to go along with the Moonscape image we got this week, I ordered the Space Boy digi set and made this cute card.

So for the texture I used a piece of Coordinates paper that was already embossed with dots. I then put some glossy accents on the space suit, planet and stars and added some diamond glitter.

Hambo Hoedown- Hot air balloon

Wow, I can't believe it's Tuesday and I just did my card. This week and weekend were so busy for me.

We are in the middle of storms in our area, so this is going to be a quick post.

I used the digi image from Hambo Stamps for this weeks challenge it was to use bright colors and paper piece.

I paper pieced the balloon with some cute pinwheel paper that I had then I added some clouds. The picture doesn't do the colors justice, the background is cameo coral along with some designer paper from MME.

Hambo Hoedown - basket of love

Happy Saturday,

Today is another beautiful day in PA. The weather is a little cooler today. It's been a busy Saturday today mom and I went to Meadowbrooke Gourds in Carlisle to take a class to make a cat gourd, it's so cute :) Then we all went to Red Robin for lunch, that was fun, it was Brad's 1st time there and he like it.

When I got home I finished up a few projects and packed up all my stuff for next Saturday's craft show in Lancaster.

With out more chatter here is my card....

For this weeks challenge, we were to use Hambo's new digi- basket of hearts, we also needed to have lace and flowers on our cards. So for the lace part, I used this lacy ribbon that I had which is pink and white crocheted, very pretty. For the flower, I used a pink flower button and glued it onto the basket.

Hambo Hoedown-A Royal Announcement

Happy Monday,

Today is an absolutely beautiful day here in PA!! Over the weekend I printed my image for the week and started to work on the Hambo Hoedown card for the week, it was a Royal announcement card.

I thought for this card, I use a dk purple and yellow which to me symbolizes royality, then I added a little bling to the card. I used the scroll frame cuttlebug folder to frame the image. I hope you like it.

Hello and Happy Easter!

Today is my favorite holiday of the year!! I love Easter because it means so much to me, 1st it is the day that we remember our Saviors death and resurection and the new life we have in Him when we accept Him as savior! It means that His death made a way for us when we accept Him to live with Him forever when we die.

The second part I like about Easter is the new birth of creation, I love spring and seeing all the flowers, trees and nature coming back to life :)

I hope everyones week is off to a good start. I have the week off since I had eye surgery on Friday, so this week is my recovery week. This weekend I did get these printed off and sat up for a little bit to create a card with this wonderful image. Hello, This weeks' Hambo Hoedown is to create a distressed card I haven't done much with that before. The image they sent was this fun Ogre and some sayings. I hope you like this card....

So for the distressing, I used my little distressing tool and roughed up the edges on the paper and also did some inking of the paper and the image for a dirty look.

Crazy for Cocoa

Hello again, I wanted to share my crazy for cocoa card for the week. I decided to buy the new Cocoa baseball digi image for this one. My nephew plays baseball and my husband loves to watch and play catch, so I was excited to see this digi.

I got this great baseball paper from Michaels a few weeks ago and decided to use more of it along with some free stickers I got from some scrapbooking advertisement in the mail.

Since my nephews season is just starting I think I'll be mailing him this card.
